4th International Eurasian Mycology Congress 2024
Dear Colleagues,
We are very pleased to invite you to the 4th International Eurasian Mycology Congress, which will be organised by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University on 3-5 September 2024 in Çanakkale -Türkiye.
On this scientific platform, many members of the mycology family developing in the World and in our country will come together, and they will share all of their valuable experiences and research through all sections of the mycology discipline and interdisciplinary. Especially with this congress, we aim to include a large number of young mycologist among us to encourage them, increase their motivation, and raise the awareness that they can close the gaps that remain in the field every day with the new research they conduct.
In EMC’24, the presentations will be made only in English, face-to-face and online. All the abstracts and full texts will be published in the proceeding book with ISBN and selected articles in the “Journal of Fungus”.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 4th International Eurasian Mycology Congress in the land of martyrs and in the heart of the Dardanelles with all our excitement.

IMA Statement on Ukraine
The International Mycological Association is deeply concerned about the aggression in Ukraine,
the killing of innocent people and the ongoing destruction. Our mission is to promote all aspects of mycology for which international collaboration and peace are essential. We are especially worried about the resulting humanitarian crises and the destruction of invaluable scientific collections, including fungal reference collections, which are an irreparable loss to humanity.
We call for an immediate ceasefire and to continue negotiations to enable a peaceful solution to the crisis.
We offer our support and our thoughts to the people suffering as the result of this conflict and fully support the statements of the International Science Council and other international organizations to restore peace.

Fungal Tree of Life Poster
Laszlo Nagy kindely provided in collaboration with several mycologists a nice illustration of the fungal tree of life. The poster can be downloaded and printed as a common resource for teaching mycology or just for having the best overview on the fungal tree of life on the wall. Please cite Nagy and Szollosi 2017 Advances in Genetics 100, 47-92 when you refer to the phylogentic relationship. The poster is distributed under a CC BY-NC licence.
